Accessible RIA Development with Flex

by Kyle Hayes on October 25th, 2006

Apparently, Flex has built-in accessibility functionality if you so choose to use it (rather, if you even know about it). After attending Tuesday’s session on this very topic, I learned that Flex makes it very easy to make your application quite accessible, not only to people that cannot see at all and who use screen readers to tab around the screen, but also those who can see a little bit or may only be able to just use a keyboard.

By accessible, I mean that there are certain hot keys (other than tabbing around) that will activate various buttons by nature of the component.
