About Me
My name is Kyle Hayes and I am 24 years old. I am a developer specializing in Rich Internet Application development and web design. My skills consist of a wide variety of today's standards in web technology, such as: ColdFusion, Flex, ActionScript, Java, C#, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, Database Design, SQL Server, Oracle, Currently, I work full-time for The Boeing Company on a team
of Internet-focused experts. We develop powerful enterprise applications for the internal intranet.
I first started doing web development in 1998. Three years later, I went into business for myself designing and developing personal and small business sites. In 2006, I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Computer Information Systems.
On July 29, 2006, I got married to my best friend, Jennifer Hayes (formerly Brown). She and I had been the best of friends for nearly ten years when I proposed to her on the shores of Cambria, California. We have been living in the beautiful city of Irvine since we got married.
I am extremely fascinated by today's emerging bleeding edge technology. I am consistently staying up to date with the latest technological news and headlines. Though I am cautious when it comes to using the latest and greatest in a production environment, I look forward to working with new technologies, programming languages, and frameworks.
I am attempting to become more active in the ColdFusion and Flex community. I started the New Year off by building my first open source Flex project called AmazonRank. I am also trying to get more involved with other open source projects such as Mach-II. I strongly believe in building a stronger developer community through the use and development of open source software. My New Year's resolution for 2007, is to be a stronger player in that movement.
