Accessible RIA Development with Flex

Apparently, Flex has built-in accessibility functionality if you so choose to use it (rather, if you even know about it). After attending Tuesday's session on this very topic, I learned that Flex makes it very easy to make your application quite accessible, not only to people that cannot see at all and who use screen readers to tab around the screen, but also those who can see a little bit or may only be able to just use a keyboard.

By accessible, I mean that there are certain hot keys (other than tabbing around) that will activate various buttons by nature of the component.

Here in Vegas!

Hey everyone! My wife and I arrived here safely this morning at 10:00am in Las Vegas, Nevada. Picking up our rental car was very cool as we approached a kiosk and swiped my card for the reservation. From there we simply walked out to the lot, picked up the car we wanted and drove off.

The Venetian is an extremly nice hotel as you might have guessed if you have ever been to the strip before. This is my first time in a suite this size and this nice. Thanks to Boeing, I am able to enjoy this trip by staying the same hotel that the conference is held at.

Anyway, I would have pictures (as I have been taking them) but I just realized that I brought the wrong cable and will not be able to download my pictures :-(

I am done blogging here and need to get back studying for my ColdFusion Certification Exam for tomorrow.
