Mach-II 1.6 Beta Slated for Early June

Peter announced today on the Mach-II blog to expect the 1.6 beta release in early June. This release is bundled with a few powerful and long-awaited features. Some of these include but are not limited to: logging, caching, as well as the new ColdSpring property.

Don't forget, if you are really anxious, you can always download the BER (Bleeding Edge Release) from our SVN repository as well as our nightly builds: http://www.mach-ii.com/index.cfm/go/code/

Mach-II 1.5 is Gold

I am late in posting this announcement because of the slow unreliable internet at my hotel and has been spotty at the conference. We officially released the Mach-II 1.5 final build a couple of days ago and is available for download.

If you have been waiting to try out some of the new great features such as modules, SES URLs and multiple XML config files (to name a few of the features) until the release was out of beta, then now is the time!

In addition with this release, we are happy to announce workshops! If you have been in the dark about how to get your team up and running with the concepts of object-oriented programming, MVC, and how it relates to Mach-II and ColdFusion, you can now get expert instruction from the developers of the framework itself. What better way to get your team up and running with standardized, modularized code that is more efficient and cheaper to maintain.

Register at Mach-II.com for these workshops that are brought to you by GreatBizTools LLC.

Mach-II 1.5b Earns Release Candidate Status

In anticipation of a final release of Mach-II 1.5 before MAX in October, the latest beta has earned release candidate status. Many bugs and issues have been fixed in this build as well as another feature. You can now use relative paths when using the new include feature (new to 1.5) or when referencing module configs.

The Mach-II team continues to make progress in development towards version 1.6, providing developers with such features as specialized advanced caching as well as a new Mach-II dashboard to allow reloading parts of your applications easier.

Excellent progress is being made and will continue to be made. Head on over to Mach-II.com to learn more and to download the latest release 1.5RC.

New Mach-II Website Launches!

The new Mach-II website that I did the design for has finally launched!

Team Mach-II Welcomes...ME!

As of yesterday and officially confirmed today on Peter's blog, I have been warmly welcomed to join the Mach-II Team! I respect Matt and Peter a lot and especially what they do to contribute to the community, so when the opportunity arose to firstly work on the Mach-II logo and later on the website, I was more than happy to help them out.

As for what I am doing for the team, Peter says my "official Team Mach-II title" is Media Designer (a.k.a. make this look good). I do consider myself to be blessed to have both the logical mind for development as well as a creative mind for design. I am truly very excited to help the team out in anyway I can in this area. I also hope to be able to work on development at some point in the future.

I would also like to extend a warm welcome and congratulations to the other two gentlemen who were brought on to the team, Kurt and Dave. I have had the opportunity recently to work very little with Kurt and he seems like a great guy. I have also had the oppotunity to work with his remote facade code within ColdSpring and am quite impressed. I have heard of Dave but have not worked with him but am looking forward to getting to know him more.

I am very excited about this tremendous oppotunity and I thank you, Mach-II!

New Mach-II Logo | V.2

After a great disappointment (with myself) on the first iteration of the Mach-II logo, I convinved Peter and Matt to allow me to come up with a much better version. I believe we accomplished this with the latest release of the new Mach-II logo that I created. Please submit all comments at Peter's blog.
